About the role

SpendMend Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated 340B Specialist to support hospitals and clinics in maintaining compliance and optimizing their 340B programs. The role involves conducting independent audits, identifying referral capture opportunities, and providing expert guidance to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform remote monthly 340B drug program audits, applying risk‑stratification criteria.
• Review patient records, prescriptions, and EHR documentation to verify eligibility.
• Monitor ordering, purchasing, invoicing, shipping, and inventory processes related to 340B drugs.
• Prepare and deliver concise audit summary reports to clients.
• Identify non‑qualified prescriptions and document referral capture opportunities.
• Collaborate with third‑party administrators to convert prescriptions to qualified 340B status.
• Participate in weekly team meetings, policy development, and ongoing compliance monitoring.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of 340B program compliance and related regulations.
• Experience conducting independent audits and risk assessments.
• Ability to work autonomously and communicate findings clearly.
• Familiarity with healthcare documentation and pharmacy operations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 340B software systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel or equivalent spreadsheet skills.
• Experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for data review.
