Accountant – International Group (Switzerland)

About the role

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking an experienced Accountant to support its global entities based in Switzerland. The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and close collaboration with the Shared Service Centre in India.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements for multiple central group companies in accordance with IFRS.
• Compile annual statutory financial statements following the Swiss Code of Obligations.
• Perform regular balance‑sheet reconciliations to ensure accounting accuracy.
• Coordinate posting of accounts payable and receivable transactions with the Shared Service Centre.
• Execute and monitor overhead cost allocations across entities.
• Act as the primary finance liaison for the Shared Service Centre in India.
• Support finance‑related IT projects and system enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and reporting requirements.
• Identify and drive process‑improvement opportunities within the finance function.

Required profile

• Commercial apprenticeship, diploma or Federal Certificate in Accounting (or equivalent).
• Several years of accounting experience in an international corporate environment.
• Strong expertise in IFRS and solid knowledge of Swiss GAAP FER and Swiss statutory accounting.
• Advanced analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and strong IT affinity.
• Fluent in English.
