Accounts Receivable Specialist

About the role

The World Economic Forum is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support its finance operations as the organization continues to grow. You will join a small AR team within a larger finance department, reporting to the Accounting Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Book incoming cash, issue invoices and credit notes, and monitor the AR inbox.
• Handle internal and external AR queries, complete vendor forms, and manage online payment platforms.
• Perform aging analysis, reconcile credit‑card payments, and produce weekly reports for centre and function heads.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities, including balance‑sheet reconciliations and revenue recognition.
• Support interim and year‑end audit processes for AR.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on credit control, send payment reminders, and manage overdue invoices.
• Maintain participant lists for events, communicate admission policies, and collect open invoices before events.
• Drive continuous‑improvement projects to enhance key performance metrics for unpaids.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or a Brevet Federal in Accounting.
• 3‑5 years of experience in financial accounting.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting and VAT.
• Excellent spoken and written English; French is a plus.
• Ability to organise workload, prioritize multiple streams, and present confidently to senior management.
