AI Engineer – Remote Generative AI for Ocean Transportation

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy generative AI solutions that address real business challenges in the ocean transportation sector. This is a remote position focused on practical applications rather than research.

Key responsibilities

• Implement retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) techniques to customize large language models for business use.
• Integrate generative AI APIs such as AWS Bedrock or OpenAI into existing platforms.
• Develop AI‑powered tools that improve operational efficiency, decision support, or customer workflows.
• Collaborate with data engineering to prepare and secure data for model inputs.
• Monitor, tune, and scale LLM deployments in production environments.
• Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver value‑driven AI solutions.
• Create clear documentation and explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of applied experience in software, data, or machine‑learning engineering.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit‑learn.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Demonstrated interest in LLMs, prompt engineering, and RAG.
• Ability to take projects from prototype to production.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
