AI-First Product Engineer – Service Extensions & Apps (Zurich / Remote)

About the role

OPUSm AG, based in Zurich, builds smart products for service organisations; its extensions and web apps fill gaps in the day-to-day work of service teams, often alongside SAP Field Service Management and S/4HANA Service. This is an 80–100% role, either in the office at Technopark Zurich or remotely, and you will own the extensions and applications from idea through go-live and support.

Key responsibilities

• Shape new products from the first idea to go-live, together with customers and consultants
• Design clean, intuitive user experiences, with UX as a top priority
• Build and ship features across frontend, backend and data
• Run products like a product owner: roadmap, priorities, customer feedback and releases
• Handle post-launch support tickets, bug fixes and steady improvement
• Work AI-first: use AI-assisted development daily and help build AI agents and AI features into the solutions

Required profile

• Swiss location and work permission; fluent English (C1), German is a plus
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex or Cursor, with the judgement to review, test and take responsibility for their output
• Product mindset: talks to users, prioritises well and gets things shipped
• Nice to have: experience with LLM APIs, RAG or AI agents, the service industry, ERP or FSM systems (ideally SAP FSM, S/4HANA or SAP BTP), multi-tenant SaaS, and customer projects including requirement engineering, execution, delivery and support

Required skills

• Basic understanding of software architecture: frontend, backend, hosting and deployment
• GitHub, REST/OData APIs and databases such as PostgreSQL/Supabase
• Basic knowledge of security, authentication, authorisation, secrets handling and GDPR / Swiss nFADP
• Basic knowledge of automated testing and CI/CD (e.g. GitHub Actions, Vercel)
