Senior Fullstack Engineer

About the role

BLP is a Swiss SaaS company that builds an agentic platform helping finance and operations teams automate their core business processes. The Platform Team owns the shared services, APIs, data access layer and design system behind the product, and is now extending its ownership deeper into the stack. This Senior Fullstack Engineer builds and runs the core backend service used by product teams, which powers the 20,000+ people who use Purchase-to-Pay and Order-to-Cash agents. You will work in a team of about 10 engineers, alongside the senior backend engineer, in a large production Go codebase.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and evolve the core APIs behind document processing, approval workflows, administration and analytics, with clear contracts.
• Own the persistence layer: tenant-scoped MySQL databases, typed repositories and shared type-safe querying.
• Extend cross-tenant capabilities so large enterprises can manage users, permissions and documents securely and fast.
• Own inbound email document ingestion and outbound email services, including the audit trail and its UI.
• Turn manual SSO, SCIM and email setups into self-service migration tools and admin UIs.
• Join onboarding calls with customer IT teams and turn their feedback into better tooling.
• Own the service end-to-end, from the Go service and React UI to production, including tracing, metrics and incident analysis.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer, mostly building and operating backend systems in production.
• 2+ years of professional Go experience.
• Has designed a backend service or API relied on by other teams and kept it reliable and evolvable.
• Works well across product, integration and infrastructure teams and explains technical trade-offs to non-engineers.
• Improves production systems step by step and knows when a rewrite is not worth it.
• Fullstack where it counts: uses the components and design system maintained by frontend experts to ship admin UIs quickly.
• Product-minded, takes ownership and works directly with customers when needed.

• Go and React/TypeScript

• Kubernetes on GCP and AWS, GitHub CI/CD
• OpenTelemetry with Grafana, Prometheus, Tempo and Parca for observability
• Strong fundamentals in type systems, composition, testing and clean architecture
• Strong plus: distributed systems, Kubernetes, Temporal, cloud infrastructure, user provisioning (SCIM) and SSO (OIDC), multi-tenant systems, ERP/finance domain knowledge or German

Hybrid work in the London office, or remote in the wider UK and Europe.
