Analytical Scientist (m/f/d) - Temporary Placement

About the role

nemensis AG, a specialist recruitment partner in Life Sciences based in Basel, is recruiting on behalf of a client, a globally active pharmaceutical company in the Basel area, for its Global R&D unit. The company is known for pioneering work in small molecule development and radioligand therapy. This is a temporary placement from 04.01.2027 to 30.06.2028; PhD holders cannot be considered.

Key responsibilities

• Independently plan, run and interpret experiments so that drug substances and products for clinical use are delivered on time
• Draft and review analytical documents such as methods, specifications, validation and stability reports, and batch records
• Act as key contact for internal and external partners, including CROs, and support deviation and OOS investigations
• Identify emerging scientific and GMP challenges early and propose practical solutions
• Own analytical topics across the project portfolio and represent the team cross-functionally

Required profile

• Degree in a life science field such as chemistry, pharmacy or pharmaceutical technology, or equivalent; no PhD
• At least three years of experience in a GMP-regulated environment
• Fluent English; German is an advantage

Required skills

• Solid scientific grounding in chemistry or analytical sciences
• Hands-on expertise with lab tools such as HPLC, dissolution testing or Chromeleon
