Assistant General Counsel

About the role

Join the European Legal team in Zurich as an Assistant General Counsel, working closely with senior leaders and consultants on a variety of engagement‑related legal matters throughout the engagement life cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Review and negotiate contractual arrangements with clients and third parties.
• Provide legal counsel on risk, compliance and syndication procedures, collaborating with lawyers, contract counsels and paralegals across Swiss and European offices.
• Liaise with risk and compliance teams, external relations, and practice leadership to ensure alignment and protect the firm’s reputation.

Required profile

• Law degree with Bar qualification in Switzerland.
• 5+ years of professional experience, including law‑firm background.
• Strong business judgment, ethics and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and independent task‑initiation skills.

Required skills

• Contract drafting and negotiation.
• Knowledge of Swiss employment law (a plus).
• Fluent German and English (contract drafting in both languages); French proficiency is a plus.
