Assistant / Support Staff (52% position) for 2026/27 school year

About the role

Torød School is looking for a dedicated assistant/support staff member to work 52% of a full-time position during the 2026/27 school year. The role supports inclusive education for 130 pupils in grades 1‑7, helping teachers create a safe and engaging learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers in delivering lessons and classroom activities.
• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to students throughout the school day, including recess.
• Participate in planning and implementing specially adapted activities for students with additional needs.
• Help organize meetings and collaborative sessions with staff and families.

Required profile

• Relevant education or at least secondary‑school level qualification.
• Experience working with resource‑intensive or special‑needs students, preferably with sign‑support communication skills.
• Strong Norwegian language skills, both written and spoken.
• Good collaboration abilities, independence, and relational competence.

Required skills

• Sign‑support communication (tegnstøtte) when needed.
