Associate Director, Sourcing Strategy & Procurement

About the role

The Associate Director, Strategic Sourcing leads sourcing initiatives and category management for Chemistry, Manufacturing & Controls (CMC), Supply Chain, and Quality Assurance functions in a regulated biopharmaceutical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for CDMOs, raw materials, logistics, and quality consulting services.
• Lead competitive sourcing events (RFIs, RFPs, RFQs) and negotiate contracts such as Master Service Agreements and Supply Agreements.
• Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships, establish performance metrics, and conduct regular business reviews.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain, quality, and financial risks while ensuring GxP compliance.
• Develop business cases, total cost of ownership analyses, and track savings and performance metrics.

Required profile

• 8+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement or category management experience, with at least 5 years in a highly regulated pharmaceutical or biotech setting.
• Proven ability to lead enterprise‑level sourcing strategies and complex negotiations across cross‑functional teams.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills, capable of influencing senior leaders.
