Associate Occupational Nurse

About the role

Medtronic is looking for an Associate Occupational Nurse at its Tolochenaz site in Lausanne. The role is central to the continuity of Occupational Health services, effective case management and absenteeism monitoring, which protect employee wellbeing, support a safe return to work and maintain operational effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing services and first aid to employees or persons who become ill or injured at work facilities and industrial plants.
• Administer health management programmes such as workers' compensation, long-term disability and wellness programmes.
• Maintain records of persons treated, prepare accident reports, provide health education information and refer contagious diseases or serious injuries to the company or employee's physician.
• Dispense standard drugs and medicines such as aspirin and cough or cold tablets.
• Work with industrial toxicology and/or hygienists to identify environmental factors and workplace stresses that may cause sickness or discomfort.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with a licence to practice in the Canton of Vaud (Swiss Red Cross recognition required for foreign diplomas).
• CAS in Occupational Health.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience, preferably in occupational health or an industrial environment.
• Advanced English proficiency to support international employees and deliver training sessions.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Swiss occupational health regulations, labour law, health protection and social insurance systems (LAA, AI, APG, etc.).
• Good understanding of the healthcare network and medico-social resources in the Canton of Vaud.
• Proven training, communication, interdisciplinary collaboration and autonomous working skills.

What we offer

• Salary range in Switzerland of 89,200 to 133,800 CHF, depending on experience, skills and qualifications.
