Postdoc, Multiplexed Single-Cell RNAseq Antibody Discovery

About the role

The Biomedical Microfluidics Lab (LBMM) at EPFL in Lausanne is looking for a postdoc with a primary background in single-cell biology, next-generation sequencing or antibody discovery. The project uses highly multiplexed single-cell RNA sequencing to discover new therapeutic antibodies, combining transcriptomic data with experimental screening. The lab has a translational focus, with a tech development lab on campus and a translational lab in the AGORA cancer research centre, and a network of clinical partners in Europe and the US.

Key responsibilities

• Optimise single-cell sequencing workflows
• FACS sort cells
• Prepare NGS libraries
• Analyse data
• Design the screens experimentally together with bioinformaticians

Required profile

• Hands-on experience in single-cell analysis and/or antibody discovery
• Good knowledge of cell biology and biochemistry
• Prior experience in microfluidics is advantageous but not strictly required
• Good communication skills and motivation to work in an interdisciplinary environment

Required skills

• Single-cell RNAseq workflows such as 10X Genomics or DropSeq
• Flow cytometry
• Droplet microfluidics is beneficial, including commercial platforms such as 10X Genomics
