Associate / Senior Associate - Cloud Engineer

About the role

PwC's Advisory practice in Zurich is looking for an Associate or Senior Associate Cloud Engineer. You will join a high-impact team delivering cloud transformation projects for clients in technology, financial services, retail and consumer, healthcare and government services, working with IT, engineering and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Propose and develop cloud-based solutions tailored to each client's needs.
• Design and implement scalable, secure and resilient cloud infrastructures and drive digitization initiatives.
• Take part in hands-on cloud engineering, including Infrastructure-as-Code, integrations, CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Help implement cloud landing zones, DevSecOps practices and platform engineering initiatives.
• Keep up with best practices in DevOps, SRE and Platform Engineering and share knowledge within the team.

Required profile

• Degree (bachelor, master or diploma) in computer science, information technology, engineering or a related field.
• Experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure management, DevOps or system architecture, including project work or a thesis.
• Certified in one or more major cloud platforms; Microsoft Azure is preferred, AWS or Google Cloud also valued.
• Fluent English; German is a big plus. Willingness to travel within Switzerland and occasionally internationally.

Required skills

• Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM) and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab)
• Scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python and Bash
• Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes / AKS), cloud networking, Entra ID and cloud security basics
• Familiarity with Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework and Well-Architected Framework is a plus
