Senior Manager SAP S/4HANA Technical Transformation, Integration and Clean Core

About the role

PwC is looking for a senior SAP technical transformation leader in Zurich to shape and deliver complex SAP S/4HANA programs across multinational ERP landscapes. You will bridge business, functional and technical teams, guide global delivery teams from assessment and planning through implementation and stabilization, and advise senior clients on S/4HANA landscapes, architecture and integration decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead S/4HANA technical transformation and upgrade programs, including assessments, impact analysis, retrofit and risk strategies, test planning, cutover support and delivery governance.
• Design integration and data replication solutions between SAP and non-SAP systems (Central Finance, MDG, BW/BW/4HANA, CRM) using SLT, SAP CPI, SAP PO, MuleSoft, IDoc, RFC and AIF.
• Define Clean Core approaches for custom code, RICEFW, Fiori, CDS views, AMDP, ABAP and SAP BTP extensions, and drive code remediation.
• Support S/4HANA Finance and Central Finance programs (Record to Report, Procure to Pay, tax, group reporting, financial close).
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of consultants, developers and architects, including offshore and nearshore delivery, and set code guidelines, review processes and quality gates.
• Bridge enterprise architects, process owners, functional leads and system owners, and manage issues and escalations.
• Prototype SAP BTP, Business AI, Joule, automation and analytics applications, and support solutioning, proposals, presentations and account growth.
• Build reusable assets, technical accelerators, training material and mentoring approaches.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Informatics, Business Administration or a related field.
• 10+ years in SAP technical solution design, S/4HANA implementation, upgrade, ERP modernization or SAP-enabled business transformation.
• Track record across several S/4HANA implementations, upgrades or conversions, including recent releases (2021, 2023, 2025).
• Proven leadership of teams of 20+ consultants across geographies and delivery partners.
• Experience managing senior client stakeholders and supporting RfPs, effort estimates and client presentations.
• Excellent written and spoken English; German or French is a strong plus.

Required skills

• SAP ABAP, RICEFW, CDS, AMDP, Fiori, HANA, performance tuning and debugging.
• Integration and replication with SLT, SAP CPI, SAP PO, MuleSoft, IDoc, RFC, AIF, BODS or Information Steward.
• S/4HANA Finance or Central Finance, including FI/CO replication, reconciliation, tax and group reporting.
• Clean Core principles, SAP BTP, cloud adoption and AI-enabled SAP innovation.
• Desirable: SAP certifications, S/4HANA Public Cloud, SAP Business AI, Joule, SAP Activate, agile delivery, experience with Ariba, Salesforce, ONESOURCE, Longview, Bloomberg or CRM, and multinational landscapes with more than 10 source ERPs.
