ASYCUDA Intern – UI Re‑engineering & Data Visualization

About the role
This unpaid, full‑time internship with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) focuses on enhancing the ASYPM dashboard through UI re‑engineering and data visualization. The position is hybrid, based in Geneva, and runs from September 2026 to March 2027.
Key responsibilities
- Assess the impact of integrating Apache ECharts on the interactivity, responsiveness, and analytical capacity of ASYPM dashboards.
- Assist in redesigning the ASYPM user interface to improve engagement, usability, and performance while maintaining compatibility with the existing ASYCUDA architecture.
- Prepare and share all materials produced during the internship with the receiving department.
- Observe UN rules, regulations, and IP policies throughout the assignment.
Required profile
- Access to a computer with a modern browser and the latest version of Microsoft Windows.
- Office 365 applications installed and up‑to‑date.
- Enabled built‑in firewall and password manager for strong security.
- Ability to work five days a week (40 hours) and, if on‑site, hold a valid visa and cover personal travel, accommodation, insurance and living costs.
