Automation Design Engineer Internship

About the role

Jabil Switzerland is looking for a motivated Automation Design Engineer intern to join its Mezzovico site for a 12‑month period. You will work on designing automation equipment and support the integration of mechanical, electronic, electrical, and software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design automation equipment in areas such as mechanical, electronics, electrical, or software applications.
• Review and interpret requirements/specifications to integrate them into equipment designs.
• Ensure designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards.
• Act as liaison with internal and external assemblers/manufacturers to guarantee parts are produced according to design.

Required profile

• Functional knowledge of mechanical, electronics, electrical, and software application engineering.
• Understanding of mechanics manufacturing industries.
• Experience with automation equipment, assembly, and installation processes.
• M.Sc. in Mechanical, Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
