Azure Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to join a consulting firm in Bern. You will design, implement and maintain Azure and hybrid cloud solutions, ensuring high availability, security and performance for enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage Azure and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
• Administer core Azure services such as networking, compute, storage, identity and security.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using industry‑standard tools.
• Create and operate CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure and application deployments.
• Support Windows Server and Linux environments, including AD, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• Implement monitoring, logging, backup and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Ensure compliance, performance and availability while handling incidents and root‑cause analysis.
• Participate in architecture design, technical decision‑making and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure in enterprise settings.
• Proven ability to manage hybrid cloud and on‑premises infrastructure.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent in Swiss German and English; French is a plus.
