Backend .NET Software Engineer

About the role

Join Vontobel’s product data engineering team as a Backend .NET Software Engineer. You will design, build and operate services that handle lifecycle events of structured products and distribute reference data to exchanges, vendors and partners worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, test and operate scalable micro‑service applications using C# and .NET 10.
• Develop and maintain event‑driven services that consume RabbitMQ messages via MassTransit.
• Create and support REST‑API interfaces for internal and external partners across Europe and Asia.
• Collaborate with agile development teams and business stakeholders to continuously improve processes.
• Contribute to DevOps automation, containerisation and 2nd‑level support tasks.

Required profile

• Strong software development experience with C# and .NET Core/.NET 10.
• Hands‑on knowledge of microservice architecture and container technologies.
• Familiarity with messaging systems (RabbitMQ) and REST‑API design.
• Self‑motivated attitude with a willingness to own tasks end‑to‑end.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.
