Banking Specialist - Forex and Money Market

About the role

Avaloq, a Swiss provider of wealth management technology and services for financial institutions, is hiring a Banking Specialist for its FX-MM & Cash Management team in Bioggio. The team processes and settles Forex, Precious Metals Unallocated and Money Market instruments, as well as Cash Management.

Key responsibilities

• FX-MM Processing: book Forex, Precious Metals Unallocated and Money Market orders
• FX-MM Controlling: monitor pending FX, precious metals and money market orders, resolve issues and communicate with market players
• FX-MM Settlement: settle bookings within market cut-offs to manage risk, communicating in real time with clients, counterparties and correspondent banks
• Cash Management: fund, monitor and report cash balances for client banks, communicating with the Treasury Desk and correspondent banks
• Testing and enhancement: test new releases, handle service tickets, and improve the STP rate and KPIs together with technical experts

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in this field
• Organised, team player, proactive, independent and eager to learn
• Full professional proficiency in English and Italian
• Nice to have: client focus, attention to detail, adaptability, knowledge of German and French
