Internship in Corporate Actions & Income Processing CH

About the role

Avaloq, a Swiss provider of wealth management technology and services, is offering a 9-month fixed-term internship in Corporate Actions and Income Processing within its Banking Operations service line. Banking Operations provides outsourcing back-office services to banks and runs state-of-the-art back office operations across Germany, Switzerland and Singapore. You will join a global department and assist senior Banking Operations staff in managing corporate action announcements, instructions and payments.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse custodian MT564 and MT568 SWIFT messages, identifying key elements and their role in corporate actions processing
• Support the set-up of standard and low-risk corporate action event types, following predefined procedures and understanding associated risks
• Help draft notifications in various languages to bank end-clients about elective corporate actions, using templates and under staff review
• Observe and help handle client inquiries, learning how resolution processes are structured and managed

Required profile

• Economics studies, preferably at university level with a focus on finance
• Proactive approach to a fast-paced, complex environment
• Good communication and organisation skills, good team player and positive attitude
• Flexibility and willingness to learn
• English language
• Knowledge of German or French is preferred

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Corporate Actions area (even theoretical) is a strong plus
