Benefits Assistant – Client Services Unit

About the role

The United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF) is seeking a Benefits Assistant to join its Client Services Unit in Geneva. You will support participants, retirees and member‑organization staff by providing accurate information on pension participation, entitlements and benefit options.

Key responsibilities

• Provide information on participation, entitlements, validation, restoration and all benefit options to individual participants and retirees.
• Route requests to relevant services within the Pension Administration and ensure timely follow‑up.
• Draft routine correspondence and prepare pension certificates as requested.
• Conduct research to verify information against Fund regulations and liaise with member organisations to resolve issues.
• Answer client inquiries in person, by phone, virtual meeting or in writing.
• Initiate administrative actions required by changes in individual status or pension plan.
• Calculate estimates of future benefit options.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of pension regulations and benefit administration.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple internal teams.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
