Business Operations Intern / Working Student

About the role

Adaptyv builds an automated lab that lets AI agents run biology experiments, and is one of the fastest-growing biotech companies. It is expanding its lab and onboarding more customers each week, and is looking for a Business Operations Intern or Working Student in Lausanne. This is a hands-on generalist role working directly with the founders and the operations team on practical projects.

Key responsibilities

• Use AI tools to improve workflows that are still too manual, messy or slow
• Help onboard new customers to the platform
• Support finance administration
• Coordinate with suppliers and service providers
• Assist with lab expansion logistics for the new lab in Lausanne
• Support events, customer visits and internal company coordination
• Build lightweight tools and automations with Claude Code, Python, Notion or no-code tools

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's program; a biology background is not required but an interest in life sciences is
• Entrepreneurial and self-directed, spotting problems and acting on them
• Hands-on, organized and reliable, able to switch between projects and urgent operational needs

Required skills

• Strong with AI tools, especially Claude Code or Codex
• Ability to build simple workflows and automations

The position is based in Lausanne, on site. Commitment is at least 3 months, with a minimum of 16 hours per week for working students or full time for interns, starting as soon as possible. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
