Founders Associate – Operations

About the role

Adaptyv builds an automated lab that lets AI agents run biology experiments, and is one of the fastest-growing biotech companies, trusted by leading biopharmas, frontier AI labs and techbio companies. It is expanding its lab and onboarding more customers each week, and is looking for a Founders Associate to own and build the operational backbone of the company. This is a high-ownership generalist role based in Lausanne, Switzerland, working full time with an on-site start.

Key responsibilities

• Own complete operational workstreams end-to-end, accountable for outcomes
• Use AI tools to rebuild manual, messy or slow workflows into systems that run without you
• Own customer onboarding and help keep the growing customer base happy
• Run finance and administrative operations with accountants and service providers
• Manage supplier and service-provider relationships, including negotiation and follow-through
• Drive lab expansion logistics for the new lab in Lausanne
• Coordinate internally: events, customer visits, team operations and daily rhythm
• Build lightweight tools and automations with Claude Code, Python, Notion or no-code tools
• Design and set up the processes and systems the company does not yet have

Required profile

• A track record of starting, running or owning something meaningful, at a startup, side project, club or studies
• Background in biology is not required; a genuine interest in the life sciences is important
• Exceptional agency and ownership, comfortable with ambiguity and no playbook
• Entrepreneurial and self-directed, hands-on, organized and reliable
• Thrives in a dynamic role with changing priorities

Required skills

• Strong with AI tools, especially Claude Code or Codex
• Python and Notion mentioned as examples of tools used
