Business Risk Manager – First Line of Defence (60‑100% FTE)

About the role

Banque Cramer & Cie SA is seeking an experienced Business Risk Manager to strengthen its First Line of Defence (1LoD) risk framework. Reporting to the Head of Business Risk Management in Zurich, you will support operational risk, control, governance and regulatory oversight across the bank’s Swiss operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and support 1LoD controls, monitor effectiveness and drive remediation of weaknesses.
• Identify, assess, escalate and document operational, compliance, conduct, reputational and client‑related risks.
• Assist incident management, including root‑cause analysis and follow‑up actions.
• Review KYC documentation, onboarding files and high‑risk client cases with Relationship Managers.
• Support AML/KYC remediation exercises and client review initiatives.
• Prepare and coordinate internal audits, external audits and regulatory reviews.
• Develop and enhance internal procedures, controls and operational processes.
• Produce risk reports, presentations, statistics and management information for senior stakeholders.
• Promote risk awareness and contribute to risk‑culture training across the organisation.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, Risk Management or related field.
• Several years of experience in Business Risk Management, Operational Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit or a similar control function within Swiss banking.
• Good understanding of Swiss banking regulations, AML/KYC standards, FINMA expectations and the Three Lines of Defence model.
• Experience in private banking and client‑related risk topics is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical abilities, independent work style and proactive, solution‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills with high integrity and professional judgement.
