Category Buyer – Electronics & Electrical Components

About the role

The Category Buyer will lead procurement activities for electronic, electrical and technical components used in industrial production environments. Working on‑site in the Ticino region, the role collaborates closely with Engineering, R&D, Production and Quality teams to secure reliable supply and optimise costs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end sourcing for electronic, electrical and technical components across production, R&D and special projects.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms and commercial conditions within the assigned category.
• Maintain supplier relationships, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with delivery reliability, cost variance and other KPIs.
• Provide regular updates on category performance, risks and supply issues to leadership.
• Ensure all procurement activities follow internal policies and documentation standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement, supply chain or technical purchasing within an industrial/manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of electronic, electrical or technical components used in production systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage suppliers, purchase orders, delivery schedules and pricing negotiations.
• Excellent cross‑functional collaboration skills with engineering, production and quality teams.
• Fluent English (minimum B2); Italian strongly preferred.
