Category Manager (m/f/d) (80-100%)

About the role

Accelleron is looking for a Category Manager to develop, plan and implement the supply chain strategy for an assigned category. The role is based in Baden, Switzerland and reports to the Global Category Manager Components.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve supply management targets related to quality, logistics and total cost.
• Develop purchasing strategies that optimise cost, product quality and logistics performance.
• Integrate environmental aspects such as CO₂ footprint into category decisions.
• Review supply risks regularly and implement mitigation actions.
• Manage supplier evaluation, qualification, development, pricing and framework agreements.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce lead times and optimise logistics.
• Represent supply management in product development projects and support product ramp‑up.
• Lead part relocation projects and coordinate drawing modification requests with engineering.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Production, Design or related engineering field.
• Proven experience in value chain or supply chain management within an industrial environment.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are preferred.
• Hands‑on, results‑oriented mindset and willingness to travel up to 20%.
