About the role

We are a confidential, Switzerland‑based IVD startup seeking a hands‑on Chief Executive Officer to steer the company through its next growth phase. The role demands a seasoned operator who thrives in early‑stage, high‑growth environments and can balance strategic vision with day‑to‑day execution.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute company strategy in close collaboration with the Board and key stakeholders.
• Lead scaling, structuring, and operational maturity initiatives.
• Build and nurture a high‑performing leadership team.
• Drive fundraising efforts across venture and strategic investors.
• Represent the organisation externally with investors, partners, and industry bodies.
• Oversee operational delivery across all functions, ensuring focus and execution.
• Position the company for long‑term growth and potential exit opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a CEO or equivalent C‑level leader in startup IVD/medical device environments.
• Track record of building companies from early stage through to exit.
• Strong network within clinical, pharma, and diagnostics ecosystems.
• Demonstrated fundraising experience (seed through Series B+ preferred).
• Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast‑moving startup settings.
• Entrepreneurial, resilient, and highly execution‑oriented.
• Willingness to be deeply embedded on‑site in Lausanne several days per week.
