Chief of Staff to CIAO and Head of GIA Office

About the role

Lonza is seeking a senior leader to act as the strategic and operational partner to the Chief Intelligence & Analytics Officer and the Head of the CEO Office. The role bridges strategy and execution, providing decision support and ensuring effective governance across the Intelligence & Analytics agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to prioritize initiatives, solve problems, and prepare key decisions.
• Synthesize complex market, competitor, analytics and AI information into concise executive briefings.
• Translate strategic priorities into integrated roadmaps with clear outcomes, milestones and accountability.
• Run governance rhythms, coordinate cross‑functional initiatives and track delivery against commitments.
• Support the CEO Office in agenda setting, briefing preparation and information flow while maintaining confidentiality.

Required profile

• Many years of experience in corporate strategy, market intelligence, management consulting or related fields, preferably in pharma, biotech or life‑sciences.
• Strong analytical background with experience in market research, financial modelling and strategic recommendation.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, able to engage senior leaders.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and influence without direct authority.
