Chief Operating Officer - Implantable Medical Devices

About the role

A fast-growing implantable medical devices company (Class III) is looking for a Chief Operating Officer to lead its operations and build and scale an operating model. The role works closely with the CEO to support the company's next growth phase, including a transition from a Co-CEO to a single-CEO structure and international expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the product development pipeline from concept to launch, drive industrialization, and coordinate internal teams and external partners
• Own the end-to-end operational value chain, covering Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, RA/QA and Operational Excellence
• Strengthen supplier management and governance, and maintain product quality and regulatory excellence
• Design and implement the company's operating model, including systems, processes, governance and data-driven decision-making
• Build a scalable operational leadership platform and institutionalize operational knowledge and best practices
• Structure, prioritize and execute the company strategy, and lead the multi-year operational transformation roadmap

Required profile

• Experience in regulated medical device environments (mandatory); implantable devices strongly preferred
• Proven experience scaling operations in a high-growth environment
• COO, VP Operations or equivalent leadership experience
• Strong exposure to the US market is strongly preferred
• Strong business and commercial understanding, product intuition and appreciation for innovation
