Cloud Solution Architect - Cloud and AI Apps

About the role

Microsoft Customer & Partner Solutions is looking for a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) to help customers move AI applications and agents from experimentation to production on Azure. This customer-facing role leads technical engagements covering architecture design, proof of concepts, pilots and production milestones, and supports Azure AI Foundry, Agent Factory, GitHub, app platforms, modernization and data services. It sits within the Cloud and AI Apps team.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customer IT and business leaders to design secure, scalable solutions that drive adoption.
• Lead technical engagements and own end-to-end delivery, working with Customer Success Account Managers on customer success plans and workload-level RACIs.
• Generate incremental pipeline and use and contribute repeatable IP, templates, frameworks and agents.
• Provide delivery oversight and escalation support for key Factory engagements.
• Lead health, resiliency, sovereignty, security, capacity management and optimization of mission-critical workloads, including service and model retirements.
• Act as the Voice of the Customer, feeding back adoption issues, capacity constraints, product gaps and deployment blockers to engineering teams.
• Support customer and partner skilling through workshops and guidance on AI apps, agents, GitHub and app modernization.
• Maintain technical expertise and contribute to internal and external technical communities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or a related field, and solid experience in AI, GitHub, agentic DevOps, AI agent development, cloud, developer or application platform technologies, or equivalent experience.
• Preferred: solid experience in a customer-facing role and on technical projects.
• Preferred: technical certification in AI, cloud, developer or agents (Azure, AWS, Google, GitHub, AI, Agents, Security).

The base pay range for this role in Switzerland is CHF 126,000 to CHF 208,700 per year (IC4) or CHF 154,000 to CHF 300,200 per year (IC5); certain roles may be eligible for additional benefits. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
