Compliance Officer – Monitoring (6‑month contract)

About the role

Swissquote is looking for a Compliance Officer to join its Legal & Compliance Department on a six‑month fixed‑term contract. You will work in the Monitoring Team, focusing on AML/CTF compliance for cash, securities and digital asset transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and validate cash and security transfers from a compliance and AML perspective.
• Review and validate digital‑asset deposits and withdrawals for AML/CTF compliance.
• Carry out reviews of high‑risk transaction alerts and perform in‑depth client clarifications.
• Conduct enhanced due diligence and transactional behaviour analysis.
• Identify and escalate potentially suspicious activities and sanctions‑related exposure.
• Assess and document clients’ source of funds and source of wealth for digital‑asset related activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Law or Economics (strong asset).
• 3‑5 years of experience in compliance monitoring.
• Good knowledge of Swiss banking and financial laws, especially anti‑money‑laundering regulations.
• Knowledge of crypto assets is an asset.
• Excellent command of English and French; German is a strong asset.
• Analytical, proactive and able to manage high workloads.
• Strong communication, collaboration and team‑player attitude in a multicultural, dynamic environment.
