About the role
Join Swissquote’s Compliance Department as a Compliance Officer focused on sanctions. You will work on due‑diligence, screening analysis and regulatory monitoring, supporting a wide range of financial security activities.
Key responsibilities
- Perform sanctions due diligence on clients and related parties during onboarding and periodic reviews.
- Analyse true sanctions hits escalated by the monitoring team and assess exposure to sectoral sanctions, export controls and dual‑use goods.
- Provide recommendations on client acceptance, rejection or escalation and advise other compliance officers on sanction‑related matters.
- Monitor sanction news, draft and maintain sanctions policies, and participate in screening system optimisation.
- Contribute to risk‑tolerance monitoring, support ad‑hoc reporting, audits and regulatory reviews.
Required profile
- Expert knowledge of financial sanctions and Swiss banking and financial laws.
- Analytical, methodological approach with strong writing and communication skills in French and English.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage high workloads and work in a multicultural, dynamic environment.
- Bachelor or Master degree in Law or Economics and 3‑5+ years of experience in the financial industry.
