Corporate Legal Counsel (Switzerland)

About the role

ABB’s Robotics business is expanding rapidly as SoftBank Group moves to acquire the unit. Based in Switzerland, the Corporate Legal Counsel will provide expert legal guidance to ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and support strategic initiatives across the robotics portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end legal and integrity fiduciary duties, corporate governance, and compliance for all Swiss legal entities, including corporate secretarial services and regulatory filings.
• Advise the Swiss Country Holding Officer and senior management on governance, risk mitigation, M&A, and licensing requirements.
• Oversee integrity investigations, government contracting compliance, data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory certifications.
• Provide counsel on contracts and commercial agreements in Switzerland and collaborate with global legal teams on IP, business, operations, and integrity matters.
• Support business operations in jurisdictions without dedicated legal resources, such as Austria.

Required profile

• Swiss‑qualified lawyer with a degree from a reputable law university.
• 10–15 years of experience in corporate/commercial law within multinational corporations or top‑tier law firms.
• Proven ability to manage fiduciary responsibilities, corporate governance, and work in a decentralized organization.
• Experience in the robotics or technology sector is a plus.
