CTRM Business Architect - Metals, Minerals & Bulk

About the role

Trafigura is looking for a hands-on business architect to lead the front-to-back functional architecture of its Metals, Minerals & Bulk CTRM system. The role turns complex, cross-departmental business initiatives into architectural roadmaps, keeping IT solutions aligned with business objectives through close collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Turn business objectives into a functional architecture view that aligns IT and business teams
• Lead strategic architectural decisions, including buy vs. build recommendations
• Create actionable roadmaps that balance long-term vision with immediate needs
• Manage cross-functional complexity and trade-offs, such as global process standards versus local market needs
• Support application teams during delivery, manage architectural alignment and accommodate change
• Guide the evolution of the functional landscape and conceptual data models
• Partner with technical leads so technical architecture supports business goals
• Stay up to date on industry trends to drive innovation and process improvements
• Lead and develop a team of architects, and foster collaboration across the IT organisation

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in a business analyst and/or architect role
• 3+ years of experience managing and developing people in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
• Strong domain knowledge of commodity trading, end to end physical trade lifecycle
• Proven success delivering large-scale applications in global teams
• Flat, matrix management structure; fluent English; preferred: experience with a range of CTRM systems
