Data Scientist – Extensions

About the role

We are seeking a Data Scientist – Extensions to join a fast‑moving, research‑driven team focused on enterprise AI. Based in Switzerland, you will translate cutting‑edge experimental ideas into production‑grade solutions that improve predictive performance on large‑scale tabular datasets across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities

• Research and develop advanced data‑science methods to boost model accuracy on structured enterprise data.
• Design, implement, and maintain production‑quality Python components with emphasis on correctness, scalability, and reusability.
• Analyze real‑world data challenges such as missing values, class imbalance, high‑cardinality features, and distribution shift.
• Design and run rigorous experiments, build benchmarks, and evaluate improvements using statistically sound methods.
• Collaborate with research, engineering, and Applied AI teams to turn insights into product enhancements.
• Partner with Applied AI Engineers to validate approaches on customer datasets and deploy capabilities.
• Contribute to technical documentation, internal tooling, and best‑practice guidelines.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or applied ML engineering.
• Proven ability to drive projects from research concept to production‑ready implementation.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience designing experiments and drawing rigorous conclusions from noisy data.
