Database Migration Specialist - CRM Systems (100%)

About the role

Julius Baer is looking for a Database Migration Specialist to design and execute end-to-end data migration solutions for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems in a financial services environment. The role uses advanced skills in Python, SQL and PL/SQL, and works closely with business analysts, architects and developers. It is a 100% position on a 12-month contract with immediate start, paid through an external payroll partner, with possible extension.

Key responsibilities

• Database analysis: perform advanced data analysis with Python and SQL, data profiling, quality assessments and impact analyses, and generate migration reports
• Migration: design, develop, execute and optimise end-to-end data migration solutions for CRM systems, including source and target system analysis, data mapping, transformation and loading
• Develop and maintain complex SQL, PL/SQL and Python scripts for extraction, transformation, validation and loading of data
• Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related data issues, anomalies and performance bottlenecks
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects and developers to gather requirements, provide technical guidance and support during planning, execution and post-go-live
• Document migration processes, technical specifications and operational procedures

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in data migration, database development or data integration projects
• Proven track record delivering complex data migration projects in enterprise environments
• Experience with CRM systems in financial industries and with large, mission-critical datasets
• Very good English, verbal and written

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL and Python
• Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS)
• Ability to build complex automation, validation, transformation and migration scripts
