About the role
Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Clinical Trials Division is seeking a Demand and Supply Manager to work remotely on a global scale. You will design, implement and continuously improve inventory management plans that forecast supply for study drugs across worldwide clinical trials, ensuring patients receive the right therapies at the right time.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, interpret and review inventory management plans to forecast supply for global clinical studies.
- Provide input on User Requirement Specifications for the Interactive Response Technology (IRT) medication management module and conduct User Acceptance Testing when required.
- Review and adjust IRT settings to align with strategic supply plans and optimise demand‑supply balance.
- Develop and deliver client reports comparing actual project spend versus budget.
- Integrate demand forecasts into the divisional S&OP process and maintain connections between demand planning and S&OP teams.
- Partner with Enterprise Project Managers and site teams to share key client data and support effective supply‑chain planning cycles.
- Ensure temperature excursion processes are executed as required.
- Maintain financial forecasts and monthly billing for assigned client projects.
- Assist in onboarding and training new employees through a buddy system.
- Stay current with cGMP, GCP and other regulatory requirements, ensuring study activities remain compliant.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business or operations management (high school diploma acceptable).
- 4–5 years of supply‑chain or planning experience, preferably in global clinical‑program logistics.
- Understanding of clinical supply requirements, phases of clinical development and factors influencing study design.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret manufacturing costs and their impact.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and solid PC skills.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication abilities; APICS certification preferred.
