Desktop Support Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Desktop Support Technician to work on‑site at customer locations, providing second‑line support for end‑user workspace environments. The role involves collaborating closely with the client’s IT team to install, upgrade, troubleshoot and maintain hardware and software across Windows and macOS platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Install, upgrade and support desktop operating systems (Windows 10/11, macOS) and authorized applications.
• Deploy, configure and maintain end‑user hardware such as desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices and video‑conferencing equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, OS and connectivity issues, escalating when necessary.
• Manage incidents and service requests using ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM tools.
• Perform preventative maintenance and document all actions in the service‑desk system.
• Provide “hands‑and‑eyes” assistance to OEM or subject‑matter experts during complex network or compute device investigations.
• Assist users directly with logged IT incidents and ensure timely resolution.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with excellent verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently on‑site and collaborate with technical and non‑technical staff.
• Motivated team player capable of handling changing priorities.

Required skills

• Windows 10/11 and macOS operating systems.
• Microsoft 365 and enterprise productivity tools.
• ServiceNow or comparable ITSM platform.
• Desktop hardware installation and troubleshooting (desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, video‑conferencing equipment).
• Network and compute device support.
