DevOps Engineer – AI AOI Systems

About the role

Techyon, a head-hunting boutique for IT C-Suite and managerial roles, is recruiting a DevOps Engineer for an innovative digital company that designs, manufactures and supplies a sustainable AI-based solution for the 3D automated optical inspection of assembled printed circuit boards. The position is based in Mendrisio, Switzerland.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the current CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity).
• Support containerized service development and deployment using Docker Compose.
• Collaborate with developers and QA on automated E2E testing (Playwright and Python).
• Manage system configuration and provisioning with Ansible.
• Monitor infrastructure and service health with Prometheus, Grafana and Kibana.
• Ensure infrastructure reliability, performance and security.
• Support deployment and testing of software on physical AOI systems.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in automation, scalability and system reliability.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Linux-based systems.
• Deep understanding of security best practices, including network security, application security and data protection.
• Proactive, collaborative mindset and interest in improving infrastructure and workflows.
• High proficiency in spoken and written English and Italian.
• Nice to have: background in industrial automation, embedded systems or machine vision; on-premise or edge computing deployments; integration of software with physical hardware or robotics.

What we offer

• Swiss employment contract with a gross annual salary of CHF 60,000 to 80,000.
• On-site presence in Mendrisio and a valid B or C Swiss work permit.
