DevOps Engineer Backend

About the role

As a DevOps Engineer – Backend at Air Apps, you will design, automate, and maintain the infrastructure powering our backend systems, collaborating closely with developers to ensure reliable, secure, and cost‑effective services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test and deployment processes.
• Manage and optimise cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure or GCP, using IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or Pulumi.
• Deploy and manage containerised applications with Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks and improve reliability and security.
• Automate provisioning, configuration management and system maintenance.

Required profile

• 3+ years experience in DevOps, SRE or Cloud Engineering.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in an agile, fast‑paced environment.
• Experience with cloud cost optimisation, scalability and high‑availability architectures.

Required skills

• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, ArgoCD.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform.
• IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi.
• Containerisation: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
• Scripting: Bash, Python, Go.
• Monitoring & logging: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog.
• Linux systems, networking and security best practices.
