DevOps Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure & CI/CD

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on DevOps Engineer to join the Web Apps team in Zürich. You will own our cloud infrastructure, automate pipelines, monitor services and ensure security and cost‑efficiency for our autonomous‑systems platform.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, migrate and scale AWS infrastructure using Terraform (EC2, ECS, RDS, IAM, ECR).
• Design, build and optimise CI/CD pipelines with GoCD and GitHub Actions for polyglot services (Node, Python, Rust, C++).
• Manage Docker images and ECS orchestration to provide consistent environments from development to production.
• Implement monitoring, logging and alerting with Datadog and analyse traffic patterns to prevent incidents.
• Ensure SOC2 compliance for infrastructure and audit security best practices.
• Analyse usage and implement cost‑optimisation strategies for AWS resources.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or SRE role, self‑starter and able to work independently.
• Comfortable handling ambiguity, making decisions and driving projects to completion.

Required skills

• AWS core services (EC2, ECS, ECR, RDS, IAM).
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• Docker and container orchestration on ECS.
• CI/CD tools: GoCD, GitHub Actions.
• Monitoring tools: Datadog, New Relic or Prometheus.
• Programming languages: Node.js, Python, Rust, C++ (experience a plus).
• Database knowledge: PostgreSQL, Prisma ORM (experience a plus).
• Understanding of SOC2 compliance requirements (experience a plus).
