DevOps Engineer – Cloud Platform

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to design, develop, automate and maintain our cloud platform services. You will work in Zurich on a mission to make lung function testing accessible worldwide, ensuring the platform is secure, scalable and highly reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Design, maintain and improve cloud services built on Kubernetes, containers, IaC, DevOps and GitOps practices.
• Develop and operate CI/CD and GitOps pipelines using Azure DevOps and ArgoCD.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting and observability solutions to guarantee platform reliability.
• Manage platform releases, including bug fixes, vulnerability remediation and upgrades.
• Handle container image lifecycle, hardening and security scanning.
• Collaborate with Cloud Operations on networking, access controls, backups and security controls.
• Provide third‑level production support, troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
• Drive automation, operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Medical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD (preferably Azure DevOps) and GitOps (preferably ArgoCD).
• 2+ years with Kubernetes, container technologies and Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform).
• Proficiency in scripting/automation with PowerShell, Bash and Python.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, OpenTelemetry and Azure Monitor.
• 1+ year of hands‑on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Helm and service‑mesh technologies (preferably Istio).
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, security controls (RBAC, image hardening, policy management) and authentication protocols (OAuth2, OIDC, SSO, Azure AD).
• Familiarity with security and code‑scanning tools like Trivy, Snyk or SonarQube.
• Exposure to public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills and fluency in English; German is a plus.
