About the role

The Mandarin Oriental, Geneva is seeking a senior finance leader to oversee all financial and purchasing activities for this five‑star property. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Finance Director will ensure robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and strategic support for the hotel’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the Finance & Purchasing team, defining control objectives and maintaining internal control systems for income, expenditure, assets and liabilities.
• Lead the budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes, ensuring alignment with corporate MOHG Finance and ownership requirements.
• Ensure compliance with the hotel’s management contract and local legal regulations, escalating any discrepancies.
• Identify and drive profitability improvement initiatives, preparing exception reports and analyses.
• Support the General Manager and senior hotel team with financial insights and decision‑making.
• Manage employee development, performance evaluation and training within the finance department.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in finance leadership within the hospitality or luxury services sector.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting standards.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with senior management and corporate finance teams.
