Director, Healthcare Compliance EMEA Regional Lead

About the role

The Director, Healthcare Compliance EMEA Regional Lead will steer the compliance strategy for DePuy Synthes across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Based in Zug, Switzerland, the role also acts as the Compliance Officer for Austria and Switzerland, ensuring that all business activities meet legal and regulatory standards while supporting the company’s innovative orthopaedic solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the EMEA healthcare compliance strategy in line with global objectives.
• Serve as the primary compliance officer for Austria and Switzerland, overseeing end‑to‑end compliance processes.
• Collaborate with commercial, medical and functional leaders to embed ethical practices into business growth.
• Monitor and interpret applicable laws, regulations and internal policies across the EMEA region.
• Lead risk assessments, audits and investigations, providing recommendations for remediation.
• Shape and communicate compliance policies, training and reporting mechanisms.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in healthcare or medical‑device compliance.
• Deep knowledge of EMEA regulatory environments and legal requirements.
• Strong ability to influence and partner with cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a high ethical standard.
