Director Marketing Surgery Europe

About the role

The Marketing Director Europe will lead the marketing direction and approach for Surgery across Europe, reporting to the Surgery Senior Business Unit Director. This senior position is critical to the success of the BD Surgery business within the BD Interventional Segment.

Key responsibilities

• Build and implement an ambitious vision and strategy for Surgery portfolios and solutions in Europe.
• Lead a team of 6 direct associates and 25 regional marketing associates, driving coordinated solutions and marketing excellence.
• Develop and execute omnichannel strategies, ensuring a customer‑centric approach across digital and offline channels.
• Collaborate with Country/Hub Business Leaders, Medical Affairs, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory and other functions to translate value into marketing actions.
• Drive talent development, performance culture and ensure resources are aligned to strategic priorities.

Required profile

• Significant marketing leadership experience in life sciences, medical devices or healthcare, with proven P&L or budget responsibility.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, matrixed teams in an international environment.
• Deep knowledge of European healthcare markets, disease areas, procedures and competitive landscape.
• Strategic agility, data‑driven decision making and experience delivering omnichannel strategies.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
