About the role
The Director, Translational Medicine Expert (Neurodegeneration) will lead end‑to‑end translational strategy for neurodegenerative programs, bridging preclinical research to early clinical development (Phase 1–2). The role is accountable for biomarker strategy, clinical endpoint selection, and early‑phase trial design to drive data‑driven decision‑making.
Key responsibilities
- Define and execute integrated translational strategies across neurodegeneration programs, ensuring mechanistic linkage between target biology, biomarkers, and clinical endpoints.
- Lead biomarker development and validation, including molecular, functional, and patient‑reported outcomes to support target engagement, disease modification, and dose selection.
- Co‑lead design and execution of Phase 1/2 studies, establishing dose escalation, exposure‑response frameworks, and translational endpoints.
- Serve as core Translational Medicine representative on global project teams, aligning with Clinical Development, Biomarker Development, Clinical Pharmacology, Preclinical Safety, and Regulatory functions.
- Build collaborations with academic KOLs, patient‑advocacy groups, and technology partners, contributing to scientific strategy and external positioning.
- Integrate patient voice into development plans, advancing meaningful functional endpoints and innovative trial approaches.
Required profile
- MD or neurologist with clinical training in neurodegenerative diseases.
- Experience in translational medicine, early clinical development, or experimental therapeutics.
- Ability to shape development strategies, execute early clinical studies, and influence regulatory packages.
