DMPK-PD Project Leader

About the role

Roche is seeking an experienced DMPK‑PD Project Leader to drive translational strategies that ensure the right drug is delivered at the right dose, safely and efficaciously to patients. You will lead non‑clinical and translational activities, collaborating across therapeutic areas to turn scientific hypotheses into clinical‑ready candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as subject‑matter expert, guiding early discovery teams on translational strategies for target modulation.
• Define and lead drug design teams, establishing comprehensive compound profiling using cutting‑edge DMPK principles.
• Direct modelling & simulation (including PK/PD, PBPK, DDI, dose prediction) and apply ML/AI to de‑risk projects from lead optimisation through late‑stage development.
• Author high‑quality scientific assessments for internal reviews and external regulatory submissions (IND, CTA, NDA, BLA).
• Implement robust biomarker and bioanalytical strategies in partnership with key stakeholders.

Required profile

• PharmD or PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, Bioengineering or related field.
• 5‑10+ years post‑PhD industry experience in pharmacokinetic‑related roles.
• Broad expertise across discovery, preclinical and development, especially with biotherapeutics, ADCs, oligonucleotides and novel formats.
• Proven leadership, communication and cross‑functional influencing skills.

• Modelling & simulation platforms: Phoenix, Berkeley Madonna, GastroPlus, SimCyp.
• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning methodologies applied to DMPK.
• PK/PD, PBPK, DDI modelling and human dose/regimen prediction.
• Biomarker and bioanalytical strategy development.
