Education-Focused Lecturer – Law & Justice

About the role

The School of Global and Public Law at UNSW Law & Justice is seeking a Level B Education‑Focused Lecturer. This full‑time, fixed‑term position (2 years) is based on the Kensington Campus and is dedicated to delivering high‑quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, convene and teach courses in Public Law, International Law and core LLM modules such as Global Common Law Systems and Research & Writing.
• Contribute to the Faculty’s educational excellence initiatives and student learning experience.
• Potentially serve as a Student Integrity Advisor, supporting academic integrity processes.
• Collaborate with the Head of School and casual teaching staff to maintain curriculum standards.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to teach public law, administrative law, federal constitutional law and international law at university level.
• Experience delivering LLB, JD and LLM courses or equivalent postgraduate law programmes.
• Commitment to social justice, human rights and the transformative potential of law education.
• Willingness to engage with the School’s teaching and learning community.

Required skills

• Legal research and academic writing.
• Curriculum development for law subjects.
