Key responsibilities
- Identify and develop solutions for integrating novel process steps and materials across the full manufacturing, assembly, packaging and testing chain, working with hardware, packaging, equipment and wafer-level partners.
- Plan, execute, analyze and document experiments in the lab and with external partners, turning results into process improvements.
- Work with external foundries, partners and suppliers to develop and transfer processes from feasibility through production readiness.
- Coordinate internally so that new processes fit smoothly into existing workflows and assembly sequences.
Required profile
- Master's degree and/or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Material Science or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in process development or integration of novel materials in a photonics or semiconductor environment, including designing and running DOEs.

- Proactive, self-starting, able to work through technical trade-offs independently and build long-term relationships with internal and external partners.
Required skills
- Systems-level understanding of manufacturing, assembly, packaging and testing, including advanced packaging, wafer-level processing, PCB or board design, or work with OSATs and equipment manufacturers.
- Solid grounding in integrated photonics device physics and semiconductor fabrication processes.
- Background in organic electro-optics, organic photovoltaics or organic electronics is a plus; experience with optical device characterization and testing is a plus.
What we offer
- Eligibility for Marvell's bonus and equity plans, including a new hire equity grant and annual equity refreshers.
