Electronics Engineer – Carrier Board (GPU/SoC)

About the role

RIVR, an Amazon company, builds physical AI by deploying autonomous robots for doorstep delivery. As Electronics Engineer – Carrier Board, you will own the design of GPU/SoC carrier boards for the robotic compute platform, from schematic capture through PCB layout, bring-up and production release. You will also manage supplier and partner relationships, define development priorities and drive sourcing decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and own carrier boards for GPU/SoC compute modules end-to-end, from requirements to production release.
• Integrate high-speed digital interfaces such as multi-gigabit Ethernet, DDR4, PCIe, MIPI CSI-2, GMSL SerDes and USB 3.x.
• Design electrical front-ends for sensors and modules including cameras, LIDARs, RADARs and WiFi/5G.
• Evaluate and select components and suppliers based on cost, availability, quality and roadmap fit.
• Define milestones and timelines, coordinate across internal teams and external partners, and make trade-off decisions.
• Perform board bring-up, debug and validate high-speed interfaces, and give signal integrity guidance (impedance control, length-matching, stackup).
• Work closely with firmware, mechanical and systems engineering teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years designing carrier boards or motherboards for GPU/SoC modules, ideally in mobile, edge-compute or automotive-adjacent applications.
• Proven track record integrating high-speed interfaces at board level and owning a board design end-to-end.
• Master's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or a related field.
• Ability to manage supplier relationships, set priorities and timelines, and debug high-speed interfaces.

Required skills

• Schematic capture and PCB layout (Altium, OrCAD or equivalent).
• Signal integrity fundamentals.
• Preferred: NVIDIA Jetson, Orin or Drive platform experience, signal integrity simulation, automotive-grade design, power delivery and thermal management, EMC/EMI pre-compliance testing.
